A river in the mountains (2024) Oil painting by Boris Serdyuk

Original artwork :№SERB 1058″A River in the Mountains” is a vibrant oil painting that captures the dynamic interplay between water and light within a majestic mountainous landscape. The artwork is a feast for the eyes, composed with a bold color palette and a lively impasto technique that adds texture and movement to the scene. The painting is anchored by the river, which sweeps across the canvas from the foreground to the distant center. The water is depicted in a myriad of blues, from the deep navy that suggests depth and the undercurrent to the lighter cerulean tones that reflect the sky above. The artist has applied the paint in thick, expressive strokes, creating the illusion of rippling water that sparkles with the reflections of the surrounding environment. On the banks of the river, autumnal trees rise up, their foliage a fiery array of oranges, reds, and yellows. These warm tones contrast strikingly with the cool blues of the water, evoking the crispness of mountain air in the fall season. The trees on the left are painted with shorter, dab-like strokes, giving a sense of the leaves’ fluttering in the breeze. The mountains in the background are cast in a gradient of purples and mauves, suggesting the presence of distant peaks bathed in the light of either sunrise or sunset. The sky above the mountains is a soft canvas of pinks, yellows, and light blues, mirroring the warm and cool tones found in the landscape and enhancing the overall sense of harmony. To the right, evergreen trees provide a dark, rich green that anchors the scene and adds to the painting’s depth. These trees stand as silent sentinels, guardians of the river and the secrets of the mountains beyond. “A River in the Mountains” is a poetic representation of nature’s splendor, inviting the viewer to marvel at the serene beauty of the wilderness. The painting suggests not just a moment in time, but the timeless dance of water flowing through the ancient and unyielding presence of the mountains. It’s an homage to the wild and untamed spirit of nature, captured with a palette knife’s boldness and an artist’s tender reverence for the natural world.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: “A river in the mountains” * ARTISTS: Boris Serdyuk* SIZE: 60×90 cm/’23.62×35.43 inches’ * MEDIUM: oil, canvas* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this productMaterials used:oilTags:#oil painting #landscape painting #original painting #river painting #oil landscape #landscape art #river landscape #kitchen decor #art collectibles #oil river
