The crisp, spare air of winter settles into this handmade ceramic painting. Layers of satin glaze build up on a handmade earthenware panel to form the color ground and then silver leaves are applied and sealed, dancing across the surface. The cool calm of this unusual wall piece encourages contemplation and relaxation, reminding us that rejuvenation is in the works. “Winter’s Gale” installs in two minutes with a custom French cleat, provided. This piece is not intended for outdoor use. Each panel is handmade and glazed one at a time so each one is a little different.
